My Philosophy on Bird Photography.

What we see is just an impression...

When we see a bird in the wild, what we really get is just an impression. We see colour and form but very little detail.
The image is fleeting and illusive.
What good bird photography does is freeze a moment in time for us to be able to study the bird more closely and appreciate the fine detail, subtle colour and form of the subject.
Without bird photography we would miss really seeing these magnificent creatures.
